Apply Typing Quirks
Type your base pesterlog text in the left box more or less as you'd expect it to be formatted, with the abbreviated chumhandle, a colon, then the text on each line. Supported are all sixteen main characters, plus GT, JN for Nannasprite, RJ for Jaspersprite, DS for Davesprite, JS for Jadesprite, DOC for Doc Scratch, and FELT for felt members. If you fail to attribute a line to a speaker, it will be automatically associated with whoever said something last, which is nice if someone's going on a tirade.
The "Apply Typing Quirks" checkbox basically does what it sounds like and doubles Sollux's i's, throws Feferi's E's, and so on. If there's a specific line that you don't want quirks in, include the pipe character | before the colon, e.g. "CC|: PSH WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT, MISS HORNLESS MCFINLESS." Write a character three times for John or Vriska to repeat it eightfold.
Additionally, you can use the bp, bt, cp, and ct commands as whole lines to include conversation openers/closers. "b" will write "began" and "c" will write "ceased," and "p" vs. "t" dictates the style (Pesterchum only colors the chumhandle's initials and includes dashes, Trollian colors the whole name). The choice between "pestering" and "trolling" depends on the person doing it. The syntax is ct(X,Y,Z), where X is the first participant, Y the second, and Z (optionally) specifies the time, e.g. bp(TG,EB,16:13).
Special memo commands are not yet implemented, though you can preface people's initials with F/C/G/? if you really want to.
