When you’ve finished a task, in either the Kitty Todo app or homescreen widget, tap that task’s cat on its checkbox nose to mark it as completed.

What happens next depends on whether the task was a non-repeating task or a repeating task:

Completing a non-repeating task

When you complete a non-repeating task, it gets moved to the Completed section at the end of the task list, and then you have a window of about an hour before Kitty Todo permanently deletes it from the database (in case you had marked it as completed by mistake, and now want to uncomplete it).

Completing a repeating task

When you complete a repeating task, Kitty Todo immediately schedules the next repeat, and updates the task list with the task moved to the section and position for its next due date.

Be aware that repeats are scheduled from the due date rather than the completion date. So if for example you had created a task that repeats once a week on Friday, but this week you completed it a day early, on Thursday, Kitty Todo will still schedule the next repeat for the Friday a week after the due date.

(If you ever mark a repeating task as completed by mistake, follow these instructions to fix it.)
